Tinder has launched the Election Center, a tool to aid users in the voting process in the US Presidential Election 2020.

The election is set to be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2020.

The Election Center will offer users the opportunity to register to vote, view their election status, request a mail-in ballot, or review their ballot before voting.

The new feature will also give members the opportunity to add a sticker to their profile that links back to the Election Center. Members can add this feature to the top corner of their profiles stating “I’m Registered,” “I’m Voting” or “I’ve Voted” to encourage others to take the same steps and vote.

The feature follows new add-on’s from dating competitors OkCupid and Bumble, who have introduced similar badges to encourage users to vote in the election.

Bumble have partnered with IAmAVoter.com to encourage young people to vote in the Presidential Election, and this is the first year that the majority of the Gen Z population can vote.

Meanwhile, OkCupid — owned by Match Group — is working with When We All Vote — an initiative co-founded by Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks and other celebrities — to help its users register to vote.

OkCupid will ask its users if they are registered to vote in the 2020 election and if they answer “no,” they’ll be redirected to a page where they can register.

Ariel Charytan, CEO of OkCupid, told The Hill: “Now more than ever, daters want to connect with people who share their values. Over the past few years, people on OkCupid have become more vocal about today’s leading issues — from climate change to voting rights.

“We have always empowered people to match on what matters to them, and our millions of daters across the United States overwhelmingly prioritize civic engagement when it comes to finding someone they are compatible with.”
