Say Allo Announces Video Speed Dating Game ‘Live’
Say Allo has announced the launch of ‘Live’, a brand new in-app virtual speed dating feature.
The weekly events will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, with the first session kicking off on 9th August at 7pm local time.
Users that sign in to ‘Live’ can have the opportunity to match with up to 10 people in just 15 minutes. They will be prompted to answer a series of on-screen questions that are designed to break the ice.
All profiles begin blurred, with small amounts of information being revealed when answers are submitted. However, women are given the option to uncover the other person’s profile at any stage, allowing them to get into the virtual date if they already feel a strong connection.
If the couple agree that they are both really getting along they are allowed to extend their call and continue learning more about each other.
Say Allo CEO and Founder Zackary Lewis explained in a statement: “With Live, our aim was to create a virtual dating experience like you’ve never seen before.
“As people can no longer connect in-person the same way they used to with stay at home orders, Live offers a fun and engaging experience that allows singles to feel the excitement of meeting someone new from the comfort of their homes.”
A large number of dating services have introduced video call features in response to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. Say Allo already had an integrated video chat which has seen a 350% increase in user activity over the past few months.
The Denver-based company made 15 new hires in May to help expand the product and cope with the growing community. Currently, Say Allo has almost 100,000 users in the US and Canada.
