The founder of Aisle, one of India’s leading dating platforms, has taken to Twitter to share details about the continued growth of the product after it surpassed the three million downloads milestone.
The Indian dating app is a club designed to unite singles offline, and is currently one of the top five grossing dating apps in the country. It currently only sits behind Tinder, Bumble, Tantan andOkCupid.
Able Joseph, founder of Aisle, posted on Twitter: “It’s been 6 years since we launched Aisle. The journey so far has been nothing short of a miracle”.
He then listed some of the highlights from the app’s past, including how it has been installed by three million people worldwide, and being amongst the top five grossing dating apps in India.
The Bangalore-based app has seen a 20% surge in new users during lockdown, despite the majority of its business model being based around offline events.
It now organises paid online group sessions via Zoom for people looking to make connections from their homes.
Aisle hosted its first offline speed-dating event at the end of 2019. Couples were automatically matched on the app if they both enjoyed their initial interaction.
