Tinder Partners With Deliveroo and FoodHub For Valentine’s Day Promotions

Tinder has partnered with two food delivery companies in the UK to help daters have a positive Valentine’s Day experience if they’re celebrating by themselves.

The first collaboration with Deliveroo offers a very unique way to find new potential matches. 30 profile pictures from real Tinder users have been printed on 1,000 takeaway boxes from popular chicken restaurant Wingstop.

Anyone who orders on 13th or 14th February in select areas of London and Brimingham are in with a chance of getting a limited edition box. If the recipient likes the looks of any of the profiles, they can scan the corresponding QR code which directs them to the full in-app profile.

From there they can swipe left or right and potentially set up a date if there’s a romantic spark.

Tinder’s UK Director of Communications Laura Wilkinson-Rea explained that the app wants to elevate its status to “ultimate wingman” and help singles after a torrid start to the year.

Elsewhere, Foodhub is also getting in on the action to help people on 15th February, colloquially known as ‘Single Awareness Day’.

A FoodHub profile will appear in Tinder to automatically transport users to the ‘LoveHub’ after they click on it. Here they can fill out a questionnaire about their food preferences and be matched with others who have similar tastes.

Matches will be encouraged to organise a virtual date with discounted food courtesy of Foodhub vouchers.
